MK July 16
From the Editor
Welcome to the July edition of MK Pulse. With bated breath I hope the long summer days will be plentiful with minimal rain – especially because of all the fabulous festivals that take place this month. John Best from Arts Gateway gives a round up of six of the best festivals in Buckingham, Milton Keynes and Northampton, which is definitely worth a look. All three towns are using cultural events to raise their spirits and put their place on the map, but each town’s offer is distinctive: they have to be, to unglue people from their screens and sofas, so try and get along to them if you can – see pages 66–68.
If you're already planning your winter getaway then Travel Counsellor, Linda Allen offers advice for the best destinations with the best temperatures. Read more on page 32.
If fashion is your thing, our expert Cindy Hudson advises on this season’s trendy colours – be warned, they're bright! But will look stunning during the warm summer months with a cold Pimms.
We have gardening advice from David Williams and Tim Saunders test drives the Hyundai Tucson while Adam Tudor-Lane test drives the McLaren 570GT – anyone got a spare £154,000?
Our ‘What’s On’ pages are packed with fun-filled things to do this month and if you have little ones to entertain during the summer holidays make sure you take a look for inspiration.
Enjoy July folks and I'll see you again in August.
