MK June 2015
From the Editor
Hi readers and welcome to our June edition.
I have to kick off this letter by saying a MASSIVE well done to the MK Dons. We are all super excited to see the Dons achieve a well-earned promotion and have been on the edge of our seats watching the games this season! Bring on 2015/16 - we can’t wait!
As June welcomes in the Summer, it’s British Flower Week; running from 15 to 19 June this annual celebration is the ground-breaking campaign from New Covent Garden Flower Market to promote British flowers and foliage and the UK cut flower industry. One of our local florists, Field gate Flowers is part of this wonderful campaign, take a look at page 37 and show your support.
As annual Internet sales grow around 10% each year, it’s easy to see how much of us are choosing to spend our money. Jonathan Vernon Smith of BBC Three Counties gives some sound advice when it comes to shopping with one of the giants of the Internet - Ebay. Take a look at page 52 for more information.
We know how much you guys like entering competitions so this month we have some tickets from Theatre Mk up for grabs as well as a meal for two at Papa J’s restaurant. Remember, if you don’t enter then you definitely won’t win!
Don’t forget to get in touch on Twitter and Facebook - we are looking for July events for our diary dates, so just use the hashtag #PulseDiaryDates.
See you all in July.
