MK March 17
From the Editor
Spring is in the air as the bulbs wake from their wintry slumber, trees begin to unfold and the UK skies pour with rain. Or will it be snow? Who knows with this country and global warming, but either way, David Williams gives his horticultural tips for the month – come rain or shine!
John Best from Arts Gateway takes a trundle to Bedford; older sister of Milton Keynes and sharing the family postcode. His article is by no means an in-depth study – just a snapshot impression of a fleeting visit of a town right on our doorstep. It makes an interesting read as there is much to see over there.
Meanwhile Linda Allen is in Cambodia – no slight on Bedford, but I know where I would rather be... Officially known as the Kingdom of Cambodia, it is located in the southern portion of the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. During March the days are dry and sunny with little or no rainfall, and temperatures average around 30°C across the country. Sounds delightful to me!
March is officially the month when we buy our Red Noses and support Comic Relief. This year it is the 24th March and there are some super T Shirt and apron designs by renowned photographer Rankin, which I know I will be investing in.
If you haven’t done so already make sure you visit our new website www.mkpulse.co.uk. Since we publish MK Pulse once a month, we sometimes exclude important news stories because they are timesensitive and would be old news by the time we deliver the magazine to you. Our new site is added to daily and is a great way to keep up with things going on in Milton Keynes. It’s also mobile ready!
I hope you enjoy this month’s magazine and I’ll see you in April for Easter when we have a great competition from Hotel Chocolat again.
