MK November 2014
From the Editor
With Christmas just around the corner and the cold, dark nights upon us, we bring you a packed edition of MK Pulse, so snuggle up with a warm drink and enjoy.
This month it's the annual Woburn Sands Christmas Fayre. Visit the town on Sunday 30th November from 1pm and you will find an array of Christmas stalls selling gifts and crafts, as well as sample the delightful food on offer. There will be raffies and charity tombolas as well as first-class entertainment from The Woburn Sands Band and The Sands Singers.
Arts Gateway MK this month is brought to you direct from Woburn; detailing the history of this delightful little town as well as a handy guide to what you can find there today.
If you've started buying Christmas presents and, (like me) you're already stuck for ideas — why not enter this month's competition? Courtesy of Case Security, we have a framed and signed MK Pons shirt up for grabs. Take a look at page 9 for details about how to enter Good luck!
There is a lot of talk around the town about a new restaurant that's opened in Oxley Park It's called Papa J's and is Indian Tapas at its finest — it's not just us who think so, as they've just won a prestigious UK curry award. Take a look at page 11 for details, but I'm definitely giving it a go.
With Winter looming, now is a good time to do a check around the house and garden to make sure your home is as safe and secure as it can be. If you have outdoor security lights erasure that they mesworkn properly. Are all outbuildings secured with good padlocks and ideally alarmed? Do any hedges need cutting back or border fences or decking need repairing? If you're struggling to get it all done, there are plenty of advertisers in the magazine who can help.
Enjoy November folks and we'll see you in December!
