NN June 16
From the Editor
A massive month is upon us, not just for Northampton, but for the whole of the UK, as we decide as a nation whether we will stay in the EU or leave. I don’t usually talk about anything political in my editor’s letter, but I feel there are so many people out there who have a vote and for whatever reason, decide not to use it; arguably this is far more important than any general election.
Back to the world of Pulse Magazine, and its packed edition with all of the news, views and stories from across the county.
We kick off this month by welcoming the new Mayor of Northampton, Councillor Christopher Malpas. Not only will this year see him supporting local communities across Northamptonshire, Christopher and his guide dog Verity will now become a permanent feature in NN Pulse Magazine writing a regular column about his monthly engagements. I am sure you will join me in wishing Christopher a massive congratulations for his new role and we look forward to hearing about your engagements over the coming year.
If your garden is causing you some angst we have some great tips for what you should be doing in June courtesy of Chris and Nadine from Canons Ashby House and Gardens and Pulse’s gardening expert, David Williams.
Our resident beauty expert Gail Spooner returns to bring you all of the best tips and tricks for the Summer including how to achieve that fabulous sun-kissed look without ending up as a Madge Harvey look-a-like. And Cindy Hudson brings the latest fashion trends available on the high street.
Enjoy the month folks and Happy Father’s Day to all you lovely dads out there.
