I have been in the marketing and advertising business since graduating from University and with age comes experience, which is paramount in this industry. I have worked my way up through the ranks, giving me an invaluable experience of every aspect of magazine production - but I am still learning and love the challenge associated with this growing and thriving business.
I love to hear when advertisers and contributors have had a response from Pulse Magazine and I still feel my stomach do a flip each time we receive positive feedback or a new testimonial.
Pulse Magazine was primarily created to offer local businesses a place to advertise effectively and to give the local community something they would enjoy reading and I believe we have certainly achieved that.
At Pulse magazine, we are a diverse bunch who offer an array of skills and expertise, but some things we all share:
an enthusiasm for amazing customer service, coupled with massive ambitions for our business and a work ethic that’s matched only by our appetite to be the most popular local magazine.
You may have spoken to all of us at some point or you may have just dealt with one person, either way we would like you to know us all a little bit more and we are delighted to introduce you to just a few of the people who make up our thriving team.
Account Manager - Jan Lewis
I joined Pulse Magazine in April 2015 and thoroughly enjoy and thrive on the challenges of my role as an Account Manager. I love speaking to people, learning about their business and helping to promote themselves.
Outside of work, I am a keen embroiderer and textile artist and studied textile art and design at the University of Northampton.
I have exhibited work at the annual Textile Art and Design Exhibition held at the NEC Birmingham.
A keen rugby supporter, I have followed Northampton Saints since moving to the area in the late '80s.
Sales & Marketing - Kirsty
Since 2011 I have independently worked with business in a variety of industries & sectors. From medium sized business to new start-ups and for the past 4 years have immersed myself in the realm of marketing, which has added to my business toolkit.
In October 2018 I joined forces with the Pulse Magazine team and am instrumental in not only driving the business forward but also helping their advertisers to become more effective with their marketing.
My passion is to help people and businesses reach their full potential.

I have been in publishing since leaving school many years ago….
My first job was with a publishing company in London. I have worked on local newspapers, directories, business publications and magazines locally.
I recently joined the Pulse Team and I am thoroughly enjoying working on such a lovely magazine. The feedback from our readers and my customers is amazing.
Accounts & Finance - Delia
I have worked with Pulse Magazine since it launched in 2009. In the early years it was 'all hands on' to build the business, sharing all the necessary jobs; I now focus on the accounts and credit control. I love my job and although I should be enjoying my retirement, I take great pleasure in the role that I now play.
I have enjoyed watching the Magazines grow in popularity and am excited to see what the future holds.
I love to travel and have done so extensively.
